When Jesus talked about the New Wine in the book of Mark 2:22, He was clearly speaking of the outpour of the Holy Spirit – which would bring deep changes in the midst of His people, as in fact happened, during those days, the beginning of the “last days”.
Without a doubt, we’re living the end of days. The outpour of the Holy Spirit is what God has for these days. An abundant, powerful, anointed outpouring. And what for? For the last and big harvest before Jesus’ return.
Every nation in the world is sending out a cry that comes from their crisis, frustration, desperation and suffering. The whole world suffers. The Church is God’s answer to this. It’s been restored and prepared by the Lord, for New Wine requires new bottles.
New Wine speaks of the empowerment of the Church for the call of the nations. We want to let God move. We want to join the call for holiness and faithfulness. We want to live life in obedience and commitment to the Cross of Christ, to experience the pure Gospel – the doctrine, the prayer and the communion, like in the first days. The Lord is coming and He is calling out all the nations to come before His presence.
